Victorious over Youzhny, Andrey to face Gasquet

It took five sets for Andrey Golubev to bring home his best Grand Slam victory to date. The match in Melbourne saw the Kazakh from Bra triumph over Russian Mikhail Youzhny, number 35 in the ATP ranking. The result was an epic battle that ended 7-5 6-7 6-4 4-6 6-3 with Andrey gaining 22 break points during the meeting and turning 10 of them to his advantage.(more...)

Andrey wins main draw in Melbourne

Mission accomplished: Andrey Golubev exceeded all three qualifying rounds to enter the main draw of the Australian Open, which will begin Monday, January 16. The first opponent was the most challenging, as the Kazakh from Bra took three sets to dispose of Canadian Erik Chvojka (3-6, 6-3,6-2). (more...)

Golubev è campione d'Italia con il Tc Castellazzo

L'ultimo appuntamento del 2011 regala una bella gratificazione ad Andrey Golubev (nella foto, scatta da Costantini per www.federtennis.it).
Al termine di un anno particolarmente difficile il "kazako di Bra" ha partecipato alla conquista del primo titolo tricolore del Castellazzo Tennis Club, laureatosi campione a squadre nella finale disputata indoor a Rovereto.
